Lancashire and Yorkshire Ale & Food House

Our beginnings

Lancashire and Yorkshire Ale & Food House was created in early 2015 and is owned by Nick Yates and Eddie Roscow who have between them decades of knowledge and experience of working in the hospitality and brewery industries. With the careful acquisition of a growing number of establishments Lancashire and Yorkshire Ale & Food House strives to provide a friendly and welcoming destination for locals and visitors alike.

BIG plans for the near future are taking shape which include new sites joining the list, as well as refurbishment and re-decoration plans, all ensuring that each pub will remain an historically characterful, warm and memorable place to wine, dine or stay.. We Hope You
Enjoy Your Stay

We love pubs, and we love the place that pubs occupy in the rich history of this country. As directors we are passionate about acquiring and developing historic traditional British pubs, and we love that people from all around the world came to stay with us and have a thoroughly good time. Nothing is too much effort and we instil in our managers the need for them to put the people who visit our pubs at the very centre of what they do. We both hope that you enjoy your time in one of our pubs and that you become a regular face to us, we love seeing you!

Road to Our Success

The long journey

Eddie has been in the pub/hospitality industry for many years, starting from a teenager he worked himself up through the ranks holding several senior management positions with various establishments and breweries. In addition to Lancashire and Yorkshire Ale & Food House, Eddie also provides business consultancy services to accountants who look after pubs as well as consulting for one of the North West's largest regional brewers.

Nick has always worked in retail and marketing, holding senior marketing positions both within the UK and abroad. He made a brave leap into the hospitality industry six years ago and has held various business development positions for most of the national pub companies since. More recently Nick became the commercial manager for a large regional brewery where he looked after the commercial interests of their growing pub estate.

Nick and Eddie met in a previous role for a regional brewery where they worked alongside each other for quite some time. This is where they made the decision to launch their own pub company after recognising that their combined experience, and contacts within the industry, provided them with a fantastic opportunity to take on some carefully selected sites from a variety of pub companies that had either just been redeveloped, or are about to undergo redevelopment. These locations needed strong management and a strong commercial focus which both Nick and Eddie can provide.
